For a few years I painted portraits of musicians that played at the Temple Bar in Santa Monica. The paintings were then hung in the front windows facing Wilshire Blvd. for a couple of weeks then transferred into the interior where they were rotated in different spots.

The Joe Karnes painting is approximately 50” x 70” acrylic on unstretched canvas. This means there is no stretcher bars or frame and the painting hangs like a banner or tapestry. This painting has been used in a couple of manners so there is some wear on the piece. In the upper corners there are grommets in which the painting has been hung. There is seams and cracks on the canvas which you can see in the photos.

As you can see the painting is quite large, more that 4 ft wide and almost 6 feet high. With these images I am trying to point out that although the painting is an interesting one there are some flaws in it. This is not a pristine painting and therefore the price has been reduced accordingly to represent a fair value
